The NSGSC Academy is a branch of the North Shore Girls Soccer Club which provides extra training for girls interested in developing their soccer skill and having fun. The Academy coaches are professional coaches who are certified and extremely knowledgeable about the game of soccer and developing player talent. The Academy has a Fall Session (September - mid December), Winter Session (January - mid March), Spring Session (April - end of June), school break camps (Professional Days and Spring Break) and weekly summer camps during July and August. Most of the Academy Programs are run in the NSGSC Indoor Bubble (see Facilities tab for more information) or the Windsor Secondary School Turf field which is located beside the NSGSC Bubble.
The North Shore Girls Soccer Academy has become the premiere soccer destination for female soccer players across the North Shore, Vancouver and Burnaby Cities. Over 500+ players attend the Academy because of the Top Coaching and the best indoor facility available on this side of the Bridge.
The NSGSC Academy is intended for players that would like to improve their technical and tactical skills in a fun, safe, learning environment. The academy consists of a 1.25 hour session in the NSGSC indoor facility with NSGSC staff on a day that does not conflict with club training sessions.
NSGSC academy runs both fall/winter and spring academy programs for U4 - U18 players.
The curriculum for the NSGSC academy follows the Long Term Player Development model that the Canadian Soccer Association has constructed. The weekly themes and activities of the sessions are age appropriate and geared to progressing each player involved in the program.
