North Shore Girls Soccer Club is Canada's largest female-first independent, club-based soccer program. We provide quality soccer experiences year-round to girls and women of all ages and abilities on Vancouver’s picturesque North Shore.
We have strong leadership in place and an ambitious strategic plan to position us as best-in-class in the development of Canadian female soccer players and to be at the forefront of driving participation of girls and women in sport, to their benefit, on their terms.
At NSGSC we believe FUN is critical to keeping our youth in the game. As one of the oldest and only girls-first Clubs in Canada, we strive to empower, inspire and develop our players, coaches and volunteers every day. If YOU are passionate about these things, you could be a good fit for NSGSC.
Board & Committees
We are always looking for volunteers to join one of our standing committees or working groups. Standing committees are Policy & Governance; Finance & Audit; HR; and Nominations (August / September only). Working Groups include Events & Volunteering; Operations; and Fundraising & Capital Campaign.
NSGSC welcomes interest in our Board of Directors. The Board meets ~ 6 times/year. If you are interested, please send a short note introducing yourself to clubadministrator@ngsgc.com. Candidates will meet with our Nominations Committee and officially be elected at our AGM in September of each year. The application window for 2024/25 is now CLOSED.

Coaching Staff
NSGSC is looking ahead to growth in our 2024/25 season. With a strong leadership team in place in both the technical and business divisions of the Club, we are seeking to expand our Technical Staff. Seasonal / Part-Time Coaching Roles
Are you interested in coaching dedicated competitive players at the BC-Premier League or Club-D1 level?
NSGSC forms our most competitive teams in March/April for the 2024/25 upcoming season. We are currently seeking experienced, licensed coaches to support our pathway players. Coaches at this level must have 3+ years of youth coaching experience, and a national-level coaching license as well as appropriate grassroots coaching certifications (age appropriate).
- PT-Seasonal D1 Head Coach - mid-August through April + spring/provincials season (reduced) May-early July
- PT-Seasonal PL/D1 Assistant Coach - working with our partner female teams at NVFC in the BCSPL, year-round (December/July breaks)
Are you interested in coaching as a part-time job while attending school? Are you just starting your coaching career?
NSGSC is always looking for hourly/part-time coaches available to support our youth league and development programs. Starting in September, with variable hours through June, our Staff Coaches support our Technical Leads on the field with program set-up, skills stations, player development and progress reports.
- NVSD Academy Coach - weekday afternoons 12:30-3PM
- Development Centre Coach U6-U12 - Weekday evenings T/W/R
- Mini's Coach - U4-U7 - Saturdays/Sundays
- Junior Coach - U8-14 - weekday evenings (volunteer/stipend) **Grade 10-12 students, no experience coaching necessary
NSGSC supports Coaching Career Development through funding further training in NCCP Soccer Certifications and Respect in Sport.

If you are driven by the value sport brings to our communities, and understand the complexity in the work that goes on behind the scenes to allow us to produce both great athletes and the simple joy on a young girl’s face at kicking the ball for the first time, please consider adding your skills to our team. NSGSC is looking for new INTERNS to join our operations teams, to learn, to experience to grow! All internships are generally ~30H/week for up to 4-months. These roles can be extended based on candidate availability to further support our operations.
