Spring Programs

Spring Programs Start after Easter: Tuesday, April 11th 2023
North Shore Girls Soccer Club offers a series of Spring Programs to extend player's current season. These programs are designed to cater to ALL levels of ability, for players looking to continue to further their development in a fun, energetic, and supportive atmosphere. The programs will be based around the technical components of the game and will assist players’ individual development in preparation for future levels of play, whether that is competitive or recreational.
There are multiple program options available:
- Development Centre - Skills & Games
- Finishing - Striker School
- Finishing - Goalkeeping School
- Soccer 4 Everyone - Adaptive Soccer
- Team Training
These programs are all led by our lead Technical Development Managers and pro-Coaches: TDM (U13+) Amar Talic, TDM (U9-U12) Amelia Ng, and TDM Lee-Ann Denham (U4-U8).
About the Programs
Development Centre Program – Coached by Full-time Technical Staff:
This program is designed to develop individual techniques and confidence on the ball through a challenging and fun environment led by our full-time technical staff. Players will learn skills that are transferable to the game through a progressive training syllabus. The “TECHNICAL” aspect is the most vital. It is key to not just playing the game but impacting the game in a positive way and it forms the base of all soccer. Players will take part in an exhibition game series (3-4 games) and a World Cup Jamboree.
‘OWN THE BALL, BEFORE YOU SHARE THE BALL’
We will coach players by emphasizing the following:
· Individual ball mastery
· Individual creativity by 1v1 moves
· Turning and changing direction at speed
· Passing and receiving techniques from angles and at speed
· Decision making based games
Strikers School Program:
The Strikers School Program, run by our highly qualified team of coaches, has been designed to support the best part of the game: 'scoring goals'. Players will develop techniques and understanding of various ways to score that will include:
- Understanding of turning to score
- 1v1 quick finishing
- Combination play to score
- Scoring from distance
- Scoring from crosses
- Scoring free kicks
This truly is GOALS, GOALS, GOALS
Goalkeeping Program:
The Goalkeeping Program will focus on specific goalkeeping techniques from our expert goalkeeping coaches. For the most specialized player on the field, this program offers a thoughtful and detailed plan to fit the goalkeeper's unique needs and covers a holistic approach.
All participants will be invited to participate in exhibition games and the World Cup Jamboree.
