History With the Game: Amar Talic is a North Vancouver native. He holds a UEFA "A" and Canadian Nation Youth Soccer license. Before joining NSGSC, Amar coached as a Head Coach at Mountain United F.C. in the girl's BCSPL division. For over 15 years, Amar has been a Coach and Head Director of the European Football School, which develops young football talent. He has taken teams to competitions across Europe and the United States, playing against top-level teams. In addition to developing young talent, Amar has been an active player and coach in the Vancouver Metro Soccer League for the past 18 years.

Goals for Our Club: As the leader of the Director of Coaching, I look forward to working with all the coaches of all ages at the club and sharing my knowledge with all of them. At the club, we have a lot of coaches keen to develop their coaching abilities, and we will be providing coaches at all age groups coaching workshops in the club to illustrate the club's style of play. We will create more coaching opportunities for our junior coach’s program, as we hope to encourage our current youth players at the club to get involved in coaching and get certified.

Favourite Part About Coaching: As a coach, I am most passionate about being on the field and working with other players and coaches. As a coach, we get to work with so many players with all different types of soccer abilities, and when I see players develop and show a passion for the game, it encourages me even more to keep coaching.

Hobbies/Interests Off the Field: When I am not on the field, I enjoy the outdoors that the North Shore and B.C. offers. I love to go on hikes near Squamish, kayaking in Deep Cove, skiing on Cypress Mountain, running at Ambleside, or for a casual walk at Lower Lonsdale. Despite being a huge soccer fan, I'm also a big hockey fan and support the Canucks but not as much as I do support Arsenal!!

History With the Game: Lee-Ann is a native to North Vancouver. She holds her CSA Children's License (Certified), CSA B License (Trained), BC Soccer Learning Facilitator (In Progress).  In her youth, she was an NSGSC player and went on to play in University and Premier.  She hasn't stopped playing since and loves all the friends she's made through the years. During University, she needed volunteer hours to get into teaching, so she started coaching...and never stopped.

Goals for Our Club: As the leader of the U14-U18 age groups, I am looking forward to supporting the coaches in their delivery of soccer knowledge to the players.  I am excited to mentor the players to continue to play the game and maybe even consider coaching.  Overall, I hope that everyone feels valued, respected and connected.

Favourite Part About Coaching: As a coach, I am most passionate about building a connection with the community.  I love sharing my love of the game with all players, but I take being a role model for young girls extremely seriously and am aware of the impact that my presence as a coach has on players.  I have been coaching a long time, and it makes me feel good to know that I have been a positive part of a lot of players' sporting adventures.

Hobbies/Interests Off the Field: When I am not on the field, I enjoy being with my niece, Cali!!!!  She is my "bestie", and we enjoy traveling, adventures, sports, ice cream, and our puppy Lucky.  I still play soccer often and enjoy basketball when I can fit it in.  I am always up for a hike and a movie.

History With the Game: Amelia has her Youth License & B National Certified. She started her soccer pathway as a youth player for Richmond FC. After high school she continued playing at Junior Colledge for one year as a Goalkeeper, transferring for her second year to Kwantlen University where she won their first-ever Soccer Provincials title and first National Bronze Medal. She then finished off her playing career at SFU, where she also started to get involved in coaching. She began her coaching career running different GK camps as well as technical coaching and ACing when BCSPL first started. In 2016 Amelia took a bigger role in her coaching career and has continued growing her career path with NSGSC, now taking over our high-performance teams, while still continuing to develop our U9-U13 age groups.

Goals for Our Club: As the Director of High Performance and leader of the U9-U13 age group, I am looking forward to building a competitive program that will help develop lifelong athletes. I look forward to supporting these players to reach their full potential both on and off the field, through a fast-paced, high-intensity, environment with fun as the foundation.

Favourite Part About Coaching: As a coach, I am most passionate about developing and empowering women and girls in sport. I stand strongly behind our value of inclusion, with a passion for making soccer a comfortable and welcoming place for all, where players are consistently excited to come back again and again.

Hobbies/Interests Off the Field: When I am not on the field, I enjoy... haha, got you. If you know Amelia, you know I'm never off the field. When I am not on the field supporting our NSGSC Youth Players I get the privilege to work alongside our new Canadian Premier League Team Vancouver FC, as their Atheltic Therapist.

History With the Game: Tom has his UEFA C License, Soccer for Life, Active Start, Fundamentals, Learn to Train, and Children's License. He's played soccer from a young age for local teams in his hometown (shout out Westlea Wanderers) all the way through to University. Tom's been coaching since 2008 for Swindon Town, coaching at academy and school programs. He continued his coaching pathway in different countries including the USA and Australia. He returned to England in 2016 and ran a variety of summer/holiday camps in schools throughout London and the South West, eventually coming over to Vancouver Canada, and continuing his coaching journey at NSGSC.

Goals for Our Club: As the leader of the minis program, I am looking forward to developing players from a young age and bringing in new fun, and innovative ways that young players can learn the game to better equip them as they move through the ages. I want the kids to want to come back over and over again to play, get more touches on the ball, and enjoy a game that I have loved since I was their age (which was a while ago!)

Favourite Part About Coaching: As a coach, I am most passionate about making soccer fun while developing. For me, soccer has to be fun. There are a lot of non-fun things we have to do in our lives, so coming up with new ways I can make the practice different, fun, and engaging. On top of this, I love seeing the development of the kids as they progress through the age groups, not just as players but as people. Getting to be an example to players is a privilege and seeing growth is a rewarding part of the process.

Hobbies/Interests Off the Field: When I am not on the field, I enjoy going out on my bike (mostly riding to coffee shops!) watching soccer, being in a lake or ocean, or hiking somewhere - I struggle to sit still. Traveling the world and trying to see as many countries as possible currently at 35!
