Girls & Women in Sport Celebrations are part of the fabric of North Shore Girls SC. All year, each season, we recognize and elevate the female game. Featuring NSGSC hosted Pro-club matches at NSL, MLS and CPL games, summer events, and opportunities for girls, not only to participate but to learn from and be inspired by watching pro sport.

Vancouver Rise FC
Stronger By Nature
Vancouver Rise is Vancouver’s very own professional women’s soccer club, proudly competing in the Northern Super League (NSL), which they emerged from last year as inaugural season champions.
As one of the league’s six founding clubs, Vancouver Rise is committed to creating a platform that empowers Canadian athletes to thrive at the highest level while inspiring the next generation of young players across the country.
The Rise call Swangard Stadium in Burnaby their home, bringing elite women’s soccer to the local community.
We’re especially proud to cheer on goalkeeper Kirstin Tynan and Head Coach Anja Heiner-Møller, both alumni of NSGSC, as they take the next step in their soccer journeys with Vancouver Rise!
Canadian Women’s National Team
This fall, our Canadian Women’s National Team will begin their road to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The journey starts with two friendly matches against Denmark ahead of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s Championship, which serves as the official qualifying tournament.
The Concacaf Women’s Championship will take place between November 27th and December 5th, and consists of eight teams, including: Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama and the USA.
It begins at the quarter-final stage, with all four winning teams guaranteeing themselves a spot at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The four losing teams will have an opportunity to compete for two spots in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament, which gives them another chance to qualify. Let's go CWNT!
The Vancouver Goldeneyes are Vancouver’s very own professional women’s ice hockey team competing in the PWHL - the Professional Women's Hockey League. The team will begin their 2026-27 season later this fall, and continue to play their home games at the Pacific Coliseum.

Altitude FC is North Shore's very own pro-am team competing in BC Premier League (BSPL).
