The U8–U10 years are about building a strong foundation in soccer while continuing to nurture a love for being active. At North Shore Girls Soccer Club, our U8–U10 Foundation Phase focuses on fun, learning, and development in a supportive and inclusive environment for players of all abilities.

Training sessions are designed to develop fundamental soccer skills, coordination, and confidence through age-appropriate activities and small-sided games. Players are encouraged to be creative, try new things, and learn at their own pace, without pressure or early specialization.

We strongly support girls participating in more than one sport and believe that developing well-rounded athletes leads to long-term success in soccer and beyond. By building positive relationships with teammates and coaches, players begin to learn important life skills such as teamwork, resilience, and confidence.

Our goal in the Foundation Phase is to create enjoyable and meaningful soccer experiences that help players develop a strong connection to the game, stay active, and feel supported as they continue their soccer journey with North Shore Girls Soccer Club.
