North Shore Girls Soccer Club is Canada's largest female-first independent, club-based soccer program.  We provide quality soccer experiences year-round to girls and women of all ages and abilities on Vancouver’s picturesque North Shore. 

We have strong leadership in place and an ambitious strategic plan to position us as best-in-class in the development of Canadian female soccer players and to be at the forefront of driving participation of girls and women in sport, to their benefit, on their terms.

Board of Directors

We are always looking for volunteers to join one of our standing committees or working groups.  Standing committees are Policy & Governance; Finance & Audit; HR; and Nominations (August / September only).  Working Groups include Events & Volunteering; Operations; and Fundraising & Capital Campaign.

North Shore Girls Soccer Club welcomes interest in our Board of Directors and values volunteers with varied interests and experiences. For 2025-2026, there are 4 vacancies and the current Board hopes to see some candidates with financial and/or legal experience. The Board meets ~ 6 times/year. Directors serve a 2-year term, and are required to also sit on or chair a Committee. Candidates will meet first with our Nominations Committee for shortlisting. Final candidates will officially be elected at our Annual General Meeting on November 19th.

Program Head Coach, Academy & Development (0.5-0.75 FTE)

 

We are looking for an experienced technical/soccer leader to work with our players and one of our D1 teams. As a coach with North Shore Girls Soccer Club, you will have the ability to guide and lead players through appropriate skills training based on age of the players and work with a team of professional staff and other coaches to carry out our soccer programs.

The successful applicant would be responsible for the following:

  • Head Coach of a D1 team (small-sided) including leading all aspects of training (2/week) and game play (1/week)
  • Support Technical leadership with the content and development of NSGSC Development Centre for U8-U16 players to ensure alignment with LTPD

  • Support high-performance programs like Advanced DC and Pre-BCSPL program

  • Support in an on-field Senior Staff Coaching role all Development Centre Programs, including support for session planning and scheduling, Fall/Winter/Spring

  • On-Field coaching support for volunteer coaches and players U11-U18, specifically for teams training

  • Support content and development of NVSD Soccer Academy, including on-field coaching

  • Provide ongoing, constructive player feedback to support individual growth, confidence, and performance

  • Participate in the player evaluation process, including mid-season and end-ofseason assessments, to support player placement, development goals, and progression within the club

  • Implement the club’s values and standards at all times and act as an exemplary role model to all of the club’s players and members

  • Analyze and reflect on principles and tactical and match day objectives through the use of video

  • Attend scheduled meetings and coach development meetings with the Technical Staff

 

Qualifications:

  •  Licensing:
    • National ‘B’ license, or Provincial ‘C’
    • U11 & older – licensed for working with youth ages 11-18
  • Ability to work with various age groups of female players and create positive learning environments
  • 1-2 Years Coaching (youth) experience, preferably with female players
  • Proven ability to lead a youth team and help players increase their skills and confidence.
  • Basic First Aid and/or CPR recommended and considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with players, parents and club staff
  • It is an asset to have a vehicle or reliable transportation to ensure ability to get to games that will be held in the Lower Mainland – anywhere from areas of the North Shore through to Fraser Valley.

Head Coach Division 1 - Part Time ~6H/wk

We are looking for exceptional coaches to work with our high performance Division 1/Pre-BCSPL teams. As a coach with North Shore Girls Soccer Club, you will have the ability to guide and lead players through appropriate skills training based on age of the players and work with a team of professional staff and other coaches to carry out our soccer programs.

The successful applicant would be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the planning and preparation of on-field training sessions
  • Responsible to lead all planning, technical and tactical aspects of match days
  • On field session delivery and while implementing the club’s methodology and training standards
  • Act as the first point of contact for all team or individual player-related inquiries
  • Implement the club’s values and standards at all times and act as an exemplary role model to all of the club’s players and members
  • Support player movement and evaluations
  • Analyze and reflect on principles and tactical and match day objectives through the use of video
  • Attend scheduled meetings and coach development meetings with the Technical Staff
  • Maintain a connection and create synergies with the BCSPL teams and the Pre-BCSPL Development Program

Depending on the profile of the successful candidate(s) these D1 Coaching positions may be expanded into larger positions within the Club including a part-time or full-time salaried technical staff.

Club Administrator - ~0.4 FTE

We are looking for an organized, charismatic, experienced administrator to act as the front-line to our Club membership.

The successful applicant would be responsible for the following:

  • Act as the front-line for the membership supporting all inbound Q&A

  • Coordinate all bookings for staff, board and technical/program meetings

  • Maintenance of annual master contact database and calendars

  • Maintain communications connections and promotional opportunities with other partner soccer organizations, including BCS

  • Act as CRC liaison, tracking and reporting for all pertinent Volunteers

  • Work closely with the ED and the Finance & Audit Committee on annual insurance maintenance and reporting reports

  • Coordinate annual Scholarship Program

  • Coordination of Club events: Photo Day, Graduation, Community Days, etc.
  • General support to the Board of Directors & YE reporting

  • Administration for NVSD44 Windsor Academy

  • New Employee Onboarding and general HR systems maintenance

Interested candidates should have a minimum 2Y experience in a professional administrative role. Knowledge of community sport/soccer is an asset.
Depending on candidate qualifications, this role could be combined with a technical role to create a full-time position.
