North Shore Girls Soccer Club is Canada's largest female-first independent, club-based soccer program. We provide quality soccer experiences year-round to girls and women of all ages and abilities on Vancouver’s picturesque North Shore.
We have strong leadership in place and an ambitious strategic plan to position us as best-in-class in the development of Canadian female soccer players and to be at the forefront of driving participation of girls and women in sport, to their benefit, on their terms.
At NSGSC we believe FUN is critical to keeping our youth in the game. As one of the oldest and only girls-first Clubs in Canada, we strive to empower, inspire and develop our players, coaches and volunteers every day. If YOU are passionate about these things, you could be a good fit for NSGSC.
Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteers to join one of our standing committees or working groups. Standing committees are Policy & Governance; Finance & Audit; HR; and Nominations (August / September only). Working Groups include Events & Volunteering; Operations; and Fundraising & Capital Campaign.
NSGSC welcomes interest in our Board of Directors. For 2024-2026, the current Board would value candidates with human resource management, governance, or legal experience. The Board meets ~ 6 times/year. If you are interested, please send a short note introducing yourself to clubadministrator@ngsgc.com. Candidates will meet with our Nominations Committee and officially be elected at our Annual General Meeting.

Head Coach Level Division 1 – update
We are looking for exceptional coaches to work with our club with our high performance Metro/Division 1 teams. As a coach at this level within North Shore Girls Soccer Club, you will have the ability to guide and lead players through appropriate skills training based on age of the players; work with a team of professional staff and other coaches to carry out the soccer program; strong communication skills with players, parents and club staff; lead and demonstrate respectful behaviour with players, officials, and spectators.
Required qualifications:
Licensing:
- National ‘B’ license, or Provincial ‘C’
- U13 & older – licensed for working with youth ages 13-18
Ability to work with various age groups of female players and create positive, supportive coach support for the team
Proven ability to lead a youth team and help players increase their skills and confidence.
Basic First Aid and/or CPR recommended and considered an asset.
Would be an asset to have a vehicle or reliable transportation to ensure ability to get to games that will be held in the Lower Mainland – anywhere from areas of the North Shore through to Fraser Valley.
